We are Vivian Hung and Joe Giamarese, founders and principals of Global Home Interiors—a full-service design firm specializing in internationally inspired luxury interiors. Drawing from our early careers as executives at renowned brands such as Vogue, Calvin Klein, , and Assouline Publishing, we’ve spent decades refining our aesthetic and design expertise to create timeless, elegant spaces.

Global Home Interiors offers comprehensive services including whole-home or room-specific design, pre-build consulting, kitchen and bath renovations, project and construction management, and exterior space planning.

In 2000, we embarked on a transformative journey, spending a year and a half traveling across six continents and 21 countries. This immersive experience exposed us to diverse cultures, striking architecture, and unique aesthetics—profoundly shaping our design philosophy and infusing our work with a truly global sensibility. It was this journey that ultimately inspired the founding of Global Home.

Established in 2004, Global Home has encompassed several home furnishing stores—including our flagship location in New York City’s Flatiron District—an online retail platform, and our award-winning interior design studio. Our work has been featured in prominent domestic and international publications such as The New York Times, Aspire Design and Home, New York Spaces, Decorations Singapore, and Remodelista, as well as on NBC’s Open House.

Now based in Princeton, NJ, Global Home Interiors serves clients across New York City, the Hamptons, New Jersey, the greater Philadelphia area, and select locations nationwide and internationally. In 2023, our reach expanded further with new projects in Miami and Italy.

OUR APPROACH

Curated, Not Designed - Global Home takes an individual approach to each project, listening intently to the requirements of each client, understanding how they live and how their space is used. Joseph and Vivian prefer the final product to feel organically assembled over time rather than “designed”. Global Home’s philosophy is to bring together different and distinct elements to give you a home like no other.

Unexpected Delight - Global Home’s goal is to bring a little surprise and a big smile to everyone who walks into their spaces.  They never want a room to feel expected.  It should reflect the depth of the person who commissions it and the world he/she lives in. 

Whole yet with room to grow - While our projects usually have a definitive Global Home “stamp,” the final result always feels like it belongs exclusively to the client. You want your home to feel complete but reflect the journey you’re on.  Global Home builds interiors that recognizes that life keeps on giving.
