We are the proof

Who doesn't love a Before and Now story? In 2004, we opened a tiny shop in upstate New York, hauling in furniture from Southeast Asia and sewing things out of vintage fabric because we were, apparently, unable to leave well enough alone. Twenty years, countless rooms, and one very good leopard sculpture later — here we are (see photo, left). The spaces we design have transformed. The clients we work with have transformed. And yes, we have too. But the thing that hasn't changed — not even a little — is our obsession with that before-and-after moment. That look on someone's face when they walk into a room that finally feels like them? That's still the whole reason we show up. Good design doesn't just transform spaces. It transforms the people in them, too.
