Our clients had one request: “We want a WOW kitchen”—something bold, dramatic, and unforgettable. White and minimal wasn’t going to cut it.

This award-winning renovation (winner of the 2024 BlueStar Regional Kitchen Design Competition and featured in Apartment Therapy) reimagined a basic early-2000s developer kitchen into a luxurious, artful space rich in color, texture, and sparkle.

Key features include:

• Deep-toned custom cabinetry to anchor the space with warmth and sophistication
• A large brass hood paired with a black BlueStar range for a showstopping centerpiece
• Brass accents in hardware and lighting, balancing shine with strength
• An unexpected wallpaper that subtly glimmers and plays off the couple’s existing art collection

🌿 Brooklyn Heights: A Historic Home, Brightened & Reimagined

We loved working on this stately townhouse in historic Brooklyn Heights. The bones were beautiful, but the interiors—especially the kitchen—were dark, disjointed, and long overdue for a refresh.

We took a cramped, alley-like kitchen and made it open, joyful, and highly functional:

Highlights include:

• Removing barriers to create flow and connection between spaces
• Installing clean-lined cabinetry with modern finishes
• Incorporating green SMEG appliances for personality and a playful nod to the home’s overall palette
• Bright, airy finishes that respect the townhouse’s elegance while updating its energy

This kitchen is now the heart of a home that’s as charming as it is livable.

🕊️ Lincoln Center: A Kitchen Reborn Through Grief and Renewal

Sometimes design goes far beyond aesthetics—it becomes part of a healing journey. After losing his wife, our client wanted to transform the apartment they had shared for decades. He was entering a new chapter, and the kitchen needed to reflect that.

We stepped in as designer, project manager, and advocate, navigating challenges including global supply chain delays, a complicated move-out/move-in, and evolving COVID protocols—all while keeping the renovation on time and within budget.

We delivered:

• A lighter, brighter kitchen layout to improve functionality and spirit
• A custom L-shaped banquette where he could enjoy his morning paper and host friends
• A small appliance cabinet for clean countertops and streamlined use
• Plus: new flooring, bathroom renovations, and balcony upgrades for a cohesive whole-home refresh

This renovation marked the beginning of his next chapter—and gave him a space that feels peaceful, modern, and truly his.
